Variants let one product carry multiple SKUs — e.g. T-shirt with sizes S/M/L/XL. Each variant has its own SKU code, price, and stock.
Use a consistent SKU pattern like BRAND-PRODUCT-VARIANT (ACME-TEE-M). It pays off when you sync with Shopify or export reports.
